Late in 1978, a new 1/2 mile dirt speedway opened on County Road H, 3 miles West of Marshfield Wisconsin. The Yellow River Speedway was originally built by James Langreck of Marshfield. It filled the void that would have been created when the Neillsville Track closed its gate for the final time at the end of 1977. Today, the old clay dirt track is now paved with asphalt and is known as the Marshfield Motor Speedway. The photos of this track will be limited from the years of 1978-1988 and be strictly from the dirt racing era at that track.
